Dr. Satish Kumar Rohra
Dr. Satish Kumar Rohra [1929], born in Dadu, Sind [Pakistan], is an eminent scholar with an M.A. in Hindi and a Ph.D. in Linguistics, and a former Director of the Indian Institute of Sindhology, Adipur. He taught Hindi at Banaras Hindu University and also served as Professor in Guyana, besides participating in several national and international seminars.
A noted literary critic and thinker, his major works include Chand Chhan and Bhasha and Bhasha Vigyan, both highly regarded in literary circles. He also contributed short fiction and played a key role in establishing the Indian Institute of Sindhology for preserving and promoting Sindhi culture.
