Padam D. Sharma
Padam D. Sharma was born on 7 January 1934 in Hyderabad, Sind [Pakistan], into a priestly Sindhi Hindu family as the son of Pandit Dev Datta Sharma. Though influenced by his father’s values, he chose a professional path in government service, successfully clearing the prestigious IPS examination. He served with distinction in the police force, rose to the rank of Additional Commissioner of Police, and retired after an illustrious career.
