Lekhraj Kishinchand Mirchandani, popularly known by his pen name Aziz, was born on 19 December 1897 in Hyderabad, Sind. A B.A. graduate, he later settled in Mumbai and served as a Lecturer in Sindhi before retiring from academic life.

Aziz was a renowned and highly respected Sindhi poet and writer, admired for his mastery of prosody and deep understanding of poetic nuances. A multifaceted literary personality, he made rich contributions to Sindhi poetry and prose, and also authored several Sindhi plays that were successfully staged and widely appreciated.
