Shri Lachman Parasram Hardwani was born on 3 May 1942 in Sewhan, Sind [Pakistan]. Holding an M.A. degree, he settled in Ahmednagar and served as a Lecturer in Hindi, residing in the Professor’s Colony at Savedi.

A multifaceted literary personality, Lachman Hardwani is known as a writer, lexicographer, and accomplished translator. Specialising in translations between Sindhi and Marathi, he rendered numerous Sindhi short stories into Marathi and vice versa, making a valuable contribution to the promotion of Sindhi literature. His work has been recognized with several awards from Sindhi associations and trusts.
