Dr. Kamla Goklani

Dr. Kamla Goklani was born on 16 June 1950 in Ajmer, Rajasthan. She holds a Diploma in Journalism along with postgraduate degrees in Hindi–Sindhi and Education [M.Ed.]. She served as a Lecturer at Government College, Ajmer, and resides at Farhat A-4, Nehru Nagar, Somalpur Road, Ajmer.

She has been an Executive Member of the National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language and a member of the Sahitya Akademi, Rajasthan Sindhi Academy, and other literary bodies. Dr. Goklani has also been a regular broadcaster with All India Radio and Doordarshan, and has contributed academically as a member of syllabus committees at MDS University, Ajmer, and M.S. University, Udaipur.

  1. Best Writer of Rajasthan Award [3 times], 1989, 1992, 1999 [At Jaipur by Government of Rajasthan].
  2. Haru Sadarangani National Gold Medal for Literary Contributions, 1995 [At New Delhi by 'Maa' Hari Devi of Sadhu Vaswani Mission).
  3. Award for being only lady for Ph.D. in Sindhi [At Jaipur, by Chief Minister of Rajasthan].   

Finale

Kamala has been an Executive Member, National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language and member Sahitya Akademi, Rajasthan Sindhi Academy and other institutions.

Kamla has also been regular broadcaster at various centres of All India Radio and Door Darshan. Member of Syllabus Committee of Board of Studies of MDS University, Ajmer, M.S. University, Udaipur.
