Hari Assumal Himthani, born on 13 February 1933 in Village Hissab, District Nawabshah, Sindh [Pakistan], is a noted Sindhi fiction writer. Educated up to Matric level, he served with the Western Railway at Ajmer and is now retired, residing at 14, Tiolk Nagar, Ajmer. Alongside fiction, he has written Sindhi plays and radio dramas, many of which were broadcast on All India Radio, Jaipur.

A prolific post-Partition writer, Hari Himthani has authored eighteen books, including ten novels and eight short story collections, and has been a regular contributor to literary magazines in India and Sindh [Pakistan]. His literary articles have appeared in journals such as Zindagi, Kumari, and Kalakar, and his work has earned him several honors, notably awards from Akhil Bharat Sindhi Boli Ain Sait Sabha, Delhi Sindhi Academy, and Rajasthan Sindhi Academy.
