Gope Chander Damwani, born on 31 December 1932 in Tharu Shah, District Nawabshah, Sindh (Pakistan), has completed his matriculation and currently resides at 41-67 Judge Street Apartments, 5-D, Elmhurst, New York 11373, USA. He is the son of the legendary Master Chander and has carried forward a rich cultural and musical legacy with distinction.
Over a distinguished career spanning more than five decades, he has recorded and released numerous music cassettes in both Sindhi and Hindi, earning wide recognition for his contribution to folk, devotional, and classical music. Some of his most notable works include Sur Chander ja Geet Chander ja, Ladda Ain Geet, Sufi Kalams, Jhulelal Bera Paar, and Chhar Dihan Ji Chandini. Beyond audio recordings, he also produced the first-ever Sindhi television program in New York titled Hojamalo (Cry of Victory), marking a significant milestone in promoting Sindhi culture in the United States.
