A key literary activist, he contributed to the inclusion of Sindhi in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution, worked to preserve the original Sindhi script, and held leadership roles including Chairman of the Rajasthan Sindhi Academy and President of Akhil Bharat Sindhi Boli ain Sahit Sabha (1997–2018). He was honoured with the SAMI Lifetime Achievement Award and the Sundri Uttamchandani Sindhyat Award for his lifelong contributions.
